Empire of Estates: Drama in the Real Estate Realm 5

It’s time for our latest installment of Empire of Estates where we answer the questions so many of you have asked: How do I find a business coach near me and what are the questions I should ask before hiring a business coach?

The answers just might surprise you! But, before we get to that, let’s check in on the very frazzled Deb and Billy.

Deb and Billy stood on tiptoes to peer over the privacy fence where they watched as a man who looked like he could be the love child of Keith Richards and Janice Joplin danced his way into a poolside lounger, picked up a tropical-looking drink, and took a long pull from a straw.

Before Billy could dissuade her, Deb marched to the gate, opened it, and made a beeline for the mystery man. The fact that he only raised his glass to her in greeting enraged her all the more. Deb cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted, “Can you turn the music down?”

The man reached for a remote sitting on a nearby table and, with the push of a button, blessed silence washed over the backyard.

“That better?” he asked with a grin.

Billy, fearing Deb might commit the neighborhood’s second murder in less than a month, stepped between the two and said, “Sorry to bother you. We’re the realtors selling your neighbor’s home. Are you always up this early?”

The man continued to grin. “Early? This is late for me. I’m normally out here around three or four in the morning.”

Deb blanched. “Whyyy?” was all she was able to croak out.

“I’m in a Stones cover band, the Stone Rollers? We play all over town. Most of our shows run until around 2 am. I come out to the pool to unwind most mornings, then hit the hay around 10 or 11 so I can be ready to go the next evening.”

Without another word, Deb turned and fled from the backyard and the ever-worsening reality of trying to sell this home.

She faintly heard Pool Guy ask, “Was it something I said?” before escaping back to the porch of her own personal hell house. She was seated with her head in her hands when Billy caught up to her.

“That’s it,” Deb sighed in defeat. “It’s time to ask for help. How do I find a business coach near me?”

Billy knew they had over-promised. This property was a mess and he knew proper pre-marketing would require a solid week after the home is ready to be shown! There was just no way

Unless…

Billy turned and looked Deb in the eyes.

“Coach Bugbee!” he exclaimed.

Help is closer than you think, friends. And rather than running yourself (and possibly your business) into the ground, why not reach out for nearby help?

Is there a business coach near me?

Thanks to the internet, it doesn’t matter matter if you live the most remote part of Oklahoma or an island in the Pacific. As long as you have access to the internet, the answer to Is there a business coach near me? is a resounding YES!

How do I find a business coach near me?

A quick Google search should bring up plenty of options. But remember…all coaches are not created equal. So, be sure to confirm the two of you are a good fit before working together, read reviews, and ask for references.

What are the questions to ask before hiring a business coach?

People have asked me what the questions to ask before hiring a business coach are.

Here are my top 5 favorites:

1.      Who is your ideal client?

2.      What systems/techniques do you have in place for you own business?

3.      How do you define success?

4.      What’s your definition of business coaching?

5.      (Save this one for the end of your meeting) What’s your first impression of me/my business?

A business coach can help you lift yourself out of the weeds and help you get back on the path to success, something Deb and Billy are in desperate need of at the moment.

Stay tuned to see what happens next!
