The Benefits of Coaching New Realtors: Manifesting & Visualizing Your Goals, Dreams & Desires

We’ve all heard of visualizing goals, but some of us think such techniques are more appropriate for the yoga studio than they are for the real estate agency.

Not so!

Learning how to visualize and manifest your goals and dreams into reality is a technique I often use when coaching new realtors because it can and will accelerate the pace at which you accomplish your desires.

If you’re just starting out in your real estate career, you may be thinking:

Wait a minute…I’m just starting out. Aren’t I too new to need a realtor coach?

And even if I do…what are the benefits of coaching for new realtors?

All good questions…so let’s break them down.

Is coaching new realtors a thing?

You better believe it. There’s a reason thousands of realtors leave the field within the first five years of obtaining their license—the industry often does a piss-poor job training new agents. Finding a mentor within the industry is a viable option, but it can be hard convincing a successful…and incredibly busy…seasoned agent to take the time to show you the ropes.

And this is where a realtor coach can help.

What are the benefits of coaching for new realtors?

Think of you realtor coach as your fairy godmother or godfather, guiding you and sharing a wealth of knowledge that would take you a decade or more accrue. A good business coach will listen to your needs and help you prioritize your goals and dreams

But it’s not enough to have a clear vision of your goals. Any good coach knows you must also take proactive steps to make them happen. You must take action. And because I’m a notorious giver, I wanted to share what taking action looks like.

The first step is to visualize what it is you want. Three easy techniques that can help include:

Setting up a goal board

Creating your own goal or vision board gives you the advantage of having a physical object that represents your goals and desires. Items that are often used to create vision boards include photographs, power words, impactful quotes or mantras, and powerful self-affirmation statements.

Create a bullet board list and read it every day

A bullet board is a step up from a goal board because it requires you to get a bit more cerebral. You’ll need to ask yourself deep questions and set reasonably high goals that will help you achieve your dreams. What do I want my personal/professional life to look like? What kind of employee/partner/spouse/friend do I want to be? What do I want to improve in my personal/professional life?

Journal every day

Writing down dreams and desires pulls them from the mysterious depths of your mind and transforms them into tangible items that suddenly seem more attainable. As you get used to writing and reviewing your goals each day, you’ll be able to better define them and prioritize them according to importance or how quickly each can be achieved.

One of the challenges with goal setting is the reality that there is no single, cookie-cutter plan for creating goals and the means to achieve them…and that is where realtor coaching can help..

Together, we will design a goal-setting plan based on your needs that will allow you to visualize what it is you want most in life and equip you with the tools to achieve it. We’ll get into the nitty gritty and take a long hard look at your time management, self-discipline, and accountability for when things go right…or when you hit the occasional (and inevitable) bump in the road.

When people ask me What are the benefits of business coaching for new realtors? I tell them I’m in it for the long game. I’m not interested in just getting you through the first year of your new career. I want to look at the long-term goals. I want to take care of business today in a way that sets you up for success five years down the road.

Coaching new realtors is one of my favorite forms of business coaching. Let’s work together to get your new career started off on the right foot!
